Melanin absorbs the light energy from Energist VPL and heats up quickly whilst the surrounding skin remains cool. The heat means that the particles of melanin break up into smaller particles, that are then removed by the body's natural waste processes, leaving the skin clear and smooth.
Prior to any IPL/VPL skin rejuvenation treatment it is highly recommended to prepare the skin with an AHA Peel & Vitamin C treatment. This removes the horny layer of skin enabling the treatment.
